  • Watched the livestream from Paris of the route presentation for next year's Tour de France, which will pass through Scotland, England and Wales. I probably won't make it to the Grand Départ in Edinburgh given the eye-watering hotel prices, but fortunately the next two stages start and finish within a couple of hours' drive of my parents.
  • I joined a friend in Leicester Square on Thursday for a stand-up comedy show by Generation Z comedian Finlay Christie. I came away with mixed views on the performance, much of which centred on his upbringing and background of privilege. I hadn't heard of him before, which is perhaps unsurprising given that he first rose to prominence on social media only six years ago.
  • With the clocks going back an hour on Sunday, we made the most of the dwindling daylight by visiting the free admission Museum of the Home in Hoxton. I'd passed it countless times on the Overground over the years but never been inside, so it was great to finally explore. It's a well curated museum and exhibits are kept up to date.
  • An unexpected free table at Manteca also meant we were able to enjoy a superb Italian lunch on Sunday, which concluded the autumnal weekend rather nicely.
