Weeknote 161
Neurodiversity Celebration Week and Spring sunshine
- Last week was Neurodiversity Celebration Week. At work there was a series of talks and discussions on different types of neurodivergence. I only managed to attend the one on Autism and made a little contribution. All positive vibes in the sessions and great that our organisation's neurodiversity network managed to do this.
- Midweek I attended the second a11y Together meetup after work. It was a smaller crowd this time round, but a much better venue with less noise. The talks were great, including Jamie and Lion about how AI is both helping and harming accessibility.
- Back in North London, Bagheera the cat has gradually become more accommodating of the neighbour's male black cat, Gnasher, visiting daily for food and playing inside with her toys. Still no sign of her wanting to be friends though as she keeps her distance, hawk-eyed on him.
- At the weekend it was somewhat warmer than usual and sunny, so we were able to have our first Asado (BBQ) in the garden. We enjoyed homemade empanadas with friends and had plenty leftovers to enjoy the following day when the sun persisted.
